I met Amy last year when I was covering the Sierra Vista Ballet’s Nutcracker performance. Amy is one of the amazing dancers there–she also teaches the little ones! These are two of my favorite images of her from the Nutcracker.
I was so excited to hear from her a few weeks ago with her big news…. She is ENGAGED!! I met with her and her very awesome fiance, Torrin, at Starbucks to brainstorm some ideas to make a perfect engagement session for them. We wanted to try something different and incorporate different parts of their lives into the pictures.
For something new, we wanted to try some images in a vineyard. I called up Arizona Hops & Vines in Sonoita to see if we could come stomp around and grab some images there. They were so fantastic and let us come even when they were closed! We were able to try some new things and got some super sweet images there.
From there, we headed to my friend’s ranch in Sonoita to play with glitter and ballet shoes and baseball bats.
We were able to get lots of great pictures, but when it came time for the glitter, the Sonoita winds won the battle. I didn’t want to miss out on all of our fantastic glitter ideas, so we met again to play with glitter. We had so much fun!
I absolutely enjoyed every moment with this fun couple. I loved getting to know them and laughing with them (when you’re throwing glitter, there will be laughing). I’m still finding glitter in my camera bag and it makes me smile every time!
Congratulations Amy & Torrin! Wishing you many wonderful and happy years together!
